For any organization that handles confidential information, sanitization is not optional. It adds time upfront but prevents serious compliance and trust issues. Automate what you can (find-and-replace client names) and manually review the rest.

Make It Part of the Workflow

Knowledge bases decay without maintenance. The firm required every engagement team to upload a sanitized report summary within 2 weeks of engagement completion. This kept the knowledge base growing and current.

Use Audio Overview for Onboarding
